Mark Alexander-Eber, president and founder of Golden Robot Global Entertainment, said: ‘’In all the years we have been working with bands and signing them to the group, I can’t remember being this excited about the potential of a new band and with the current state of the nation, the world needs The Crooks more than it will ever realise.”

The Crooks, who hail from Chesterfield, released their first single, In Time, on Golden Robot Records this week.

Drawing influences from DMA’s, The Brian Jonestown Massacre and Verve, The Crooks’ previous two singles, Silhouette Sunshine and She Walks Alone, came out earlier this year. The five-piece band’s music has received airplay around the globe and on national radio stations including RadioX, BBC Introducing and several stations in the United States, South America and throughout Europe.

The Crooks played a number of sell-out shows in England and Scotland last year, taking the music industry by the scruff of its neck.

Lockdown means Jack Knight, Chris Stones, Duncan Couch, Conor Fletcher and Jonathan Keeler, are currently unable to promote their new release live but, according to The Crooks’ Facebook page, they will be performing at Birmingham’s The Sunflower Lounge on July 17, 2020.
