That is according to boss James Rowe who wants to see him string more consistent performances together.

The 24-year-old, who struck the winner against Eastleigh over Easter, is out of contract in the summer.

“He is one to watch for the future,” Rowe said. “People forget he is only 24 and he is still developing, he is not in his peak years yet.

“He is certainly showing his worth. He just needs to be more consistent in his performances. He has got the ability, the work ethic and the desire to do it.”

Rowe added: “His training is superb, he is a real professional but he needs to realise that to play in a successful team he needs to put in consistent performances. It can’t be nine out of 10 and the five out of 10. If he does not play so well then he needs to be a minimum seven to contribute to the game.”
