Here are Liam Norcliffe’s player ratings from the game...
5. Jordan Cropper 7
Cropper is finding some good consistency now and he delivered an absolute beauty of a cross from the right which picked out Denton for the winner at the far post. Photo: Rachel Atkins
6. Jonathan Smith 6
Smith has clearly gained some confidence from his goal last week against Notts County and he had a few sighters at the Bob Lucas Stadium. He was on the end of a couple of knock-downs from corners but he leaned back on both occasions and the ball went flying over the bar. Photo: Rachel Atkins
7. Curtis Weston 7
A nice performance by Weston in the middle of the park. He battled well and kept things ticking over. That's two good performances on the bounce now from him so hopefully that is a sign of things to come. Photo: Steve Flynn/AHPIX LTD
8. Joe Rowley 6
An encouraging sign for Rowley that he started Rowe's first game in charge. He started very bright and sharp and led the high press from the beginning. After some neat footwork he had one opportunity to shoot from the edge of the box but chose to pass instead. Perhaps an indication of where his confidence levels are the moment. He was replaced by Mandeville 10 minutes into the second half. Photo: Steve Flynn/AHPIX LTD
