Sharman, 19, has linked up with the National League North club until May 31, while McKay’s deal is for 28 days.

Michael Nelson, who played for the Spireites during the 2018/19 season, is manager of Blyth and he said: “Jamie is a young lad who broke into the team when I was a player at Chesterfield.

“He’s played games in the National League and for Kiddermimster, so he knows both leagues.

“He’s big and strong. Hopefully, he is someone who can come in, provide competition and help us.”

He added: “Jack is somebody who is hungry to play games. He’s played games at a higher level and got a goal in him.

“He can play anywhere across the front three, so he gives us options in the attacking areas.

“He’s also an extremely fit lad. He’ll add a little bit of physicality and pace into the team.”

Sharman has made six starts for the Spireites this season but they all came under former manager John Pemberton. He has not made a single appearance since James Rowe was appointed.

McKay, 24, has only featured once this campaign off the bench in the defeat against Torquay United when Pemberton was in charge.

The pair join Milan Butterfield, who has gone to Guiseley, and Luke Rawson, who joined Alfreton, in heading out on loan in the last few weeks.

The Spartans are currently bottom of the National League North and are six points from safety with just one win from 14 matches.
