Chesterfield led 5-0 at the break before showing no mercy in the second half with a team that featured four debutants.

It was the perfect response to their open day derby defeat against Mansfield.

“To come here and give a performance like that is brilliant for everyone, for confidence, for the new players and for those who scored,” said Noon.

“The players wanted it and grafted for it. Credit to them for coming away with the three points.

“The desire and hard work was there and the intensity to want to win was there.

“After the midweek defeat, It would have been easy to come here and to go through the motions, but the players have led from the front and the desire to get the three points is the most important thing.

“It is pleasing to see goals coming from all over the pitch. It is something that is important for the team that we are not relying on one or two individuals scoring goals. It's nice to see others stepping up.

“Everyone who had a debut gave a great account of themselves. It didn't look like we weakened the team when we made subs which is really pleasing.”

Vice-Captain, Eleanor Abercrombie described the result and performance as something the side can now build on.

“I think it was excellent,” he said. “We controlled the game from start to finish and it’s a real confidence booster.

“On Wednesday we weren’t the best and we needed to come out strong. It was a good 90 mins all round.

“I was happy to get two goals and hopefully I can take it into next week.

“The new players fitted in really well, they are a good bunch of girls and we love the new players,

“It adds to the good group we have, they played really well.
