Buxton runners take on daunting Chrome Hill race
Former Buxton runner Rick Houghton finished a fantastic second in the race, while the first runner home for Buxton was Mark Pursell in seventh position.
Fellow team members Darran Hawkins and Jason Bennett were close behind Mark in ninth and 11th respectively.

Hide AdMark Halsey was next home in 22nd, Roland Meylan 26th, Pete Bailey 28th, Mark Cudahy 29th, Rob Wallis 34th, Ross Martland 39th, Gayle Hammond 43rd, Helen Brunt 51st and Sarah Guise 53rd.
Evergreen Bill Alsop raced over the fells up in the Lake District at the weekend, taking part in the tough 17-mile Borrowdale Fell Race.
Taking in some notable fells such as Scafell Pike and Great Gable, the race climbs over 6,500 feet, starting and finishing at Rosthwaite.
Bill was the first male over-70 to finish - an outstanding result.

Hide AdElsewhere, several juniors competed in the final race of the Staffordshire Moorlands Summer Series held at Leek last week, and Will Tighe came away with two very commendable titles for the overall series.
Not only was Will first in the Leek race, he also took the first junior male and first junior male in the JM11 category in the series.
Also running at the final race was Louis Forshaw-Perring, who posted an excellent finish of second, just behind Will.
In the Fun Run, James Tighe and Max Graham took fourth and fifth respectively.
