Swimmers jumped into the new year with a cold splash!

More than 100 hardy people braved the chill waters of Hathersage Swimming Pool to welcome in 2014.

George Foy, assistant manager at the Peak District attraction, hailed the cold water swim as a great success.

He said: “Everyone who took part had a really good time.

“There were lots of spectators who turned out to cheer them on too.

“We’d like to thank all who helped the day go so well.”

Hathersage Swimming Pool opened in 1936 as a part of the King George Fifth Memorial Field.
