How staff at a Chesterfield tattoo studio are helping the needy this Christmas

Wayne Grant and Suzanne Parsons, who work at Piece of Art on Knifesmithgate, have decided to collect gifts and toys to give to people who may be struggling to buy Christmas presents for their children.
The presents will be distributed through women’s refuges and via Facebook.

Hide AdThirty-eight-year-old Wayne, owner of the shop, said: “At Pierce of Art we try and do something to help our local community when times are tough.
“Everyone is facing difficult times at the moment and we want to help put smiles on kids’ faces with the help of the community.”
Manager Suzanne, 42, added: “We want to ensure no child goes without this Christmas.”
The pair are also collecting items for a family-sized hamper which will be raffled off to raise money for Ashgate Hospicecare.

Hide AdSuzanne said: “This will hopefully feed a family through the Christmas.”
And they are also appealing for selection boxes and tinned sweets to give to key workers.
“Lots of children, Ashgate Hospicecare and our amazing key workers will benefit from our charitable efforts this year,” Suzanne added.
“Let’s all help in any way we can.”

At the beginning of the first coronavirus lockdown, the shop donated all its personal protective equipment, hand sanitiser and cleaning products to Chesterfield Royal Hospital.
