Hardy souls brave the cold water for the annual Matlock Boxing Day raft race

Home-made crafts took to the water for this year’s annual raft race in Matlock.

The event, which sees boats take to the River Derwent, raises money for the Royal National Lifeboat Institute.

Rafters raced from Cawdor Quarry in Matlock, finishing at Cromford Meadows.
