Matlock, Cromford, Wirksworth and Darley Dale Police SNT said they were aware of an ‘increased number of visitors’ flouting coronavirus restrictions at Matlock Bath on Saturday (February 27).
They said: “We are in lockdown. Please remember, you MUST stay home unless you have a reasonable excuse to be out."

It’s nothing new for fed up residents, who have had to contend with visitors from all over the country throughout the pandemic despite non-essential travel being banned.
Glen Thompson: “Sometimes wish you would board the buses. Folk coming in from everywhere. Totally non-essential travel.”
Lisa Togher said: “There was loads in Matlock Bath today. Definitely no lockdown there, must’ve been at least 50 bikes there when I went through.”
