Ben Haye is attempting the challenge outside his home on Wheatsheaf Way, Clowne, today (Wednesday, May 6) to say thank you to the doctors and nurses at Chesterfield Royal Hospital battling coronavirus.

He is expecting the 100km treadmill walk to take him up to 18 hours but is hoping to complete the entire walk today.

Ben said: “This is my way to say thank you to the NHS staff for all their hard work and sacrifice during the fight against Covid-19.”

The walk has already raised more than £1,500 for the Royal – smashing the £1,000 target Ben had set.
