She has now created an online directory of more than 20 gift ideas for Valentine’s Day from across the region, covering experience-driven gifts, artisan offerings, jewellery, the best local florists and sweet treats.

Derbyshire businesses featured include the Peak District Candle Co which makes eco-friendly soy wax candles and Matlock-based fashion jewellery brand Harper and May.

Molly said: “I know just how important it is to shop small, local and thoughtfully, now more than ever and so many of Derbyshire's small businesses offer all sorts of amazing gifts that can be purchased online.

"But don't forget the brick and mortar stores – they need our help more than ever before.

"Despite being shut for lockdown many lovely shops are still selling online and many offer gift wrapping and local delivery.

"My favourites are Design 44 in Derby, Shop Indie and Libby’s in Chesterfield, Bow Boutique in Matlock and Handmade Design Ashbourne.

“Within the directory, there is a range of businesses in differing circumstances, some who have been forced to close during lockdown and who have innovated to diversify online, some completely new passion projects and some longstanding businesses who need a helping hand.”
