Chesterfield man died after drug overdose

A 39-year-old Chesterfield man died after taking a drug overdose, an inquest was told.

Gareth John Robinson was found unresponsive at his home on Barrow Street, Staveley, on August 25 last year and died one day later at Chesterfield Royal Hospital.

An inquest held at Chesterfield Town Hall heard the cause of Mr Robinson’s death was mixed drugs misuse and bronchopneumonia.

Assistant coroner for Derbyshire Tanyka Rawden recorded a verdict that Mr Robinson’s death was drug related at the hearing on April 7.
