Man suffers head and chest injuries after crash in Derbyshire

The collision – involving a motorbike and a VW Golf car – happened on Alfreton Road, The Cliff, Tansley, at around 3.15pm on Monday.

The motorcyclist suffered chest and head injuries and was taken to the Queen’s Medical Centre where he is currently stable but sedated.

A Derbyshire Constabulary spokesperson said: “We have started an investigation in to the collision and would like to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time or has dash-cam footage.

“If you have any information, please contact Sergeant Darren Parkin, quoting reference number 2*263771.

“Please ensure any video footage is downloaded to a separate, secure device ready for officers to view.”
