Derbyshire man fined and ordered to do unpaid work after Midland Railway theft
Barry Gent, 37, of Adelaide Walk, Ironville, pleaded guilty to stealing fuel from machinery from the site, at Butterley, on three occasions since September 2015.
The most recent incident took place sometime overnight between Tuesday, November 24 and Wednesday, November 25 where diesel was syphoned from three plant vehicles.

Hide AdMagistrates in Chesterfield sentenced Gent to carry out 120 hours unpaid work, pay £133 in compensation and £235 in court costs at the hearing on Thursday, December 17.
He would also be subject to benefit deductions of £634.
Officers are still investigating a number of other similar incidents at Midland Railway and are continuing to appeal for information.
