Two arrested after police uncover £60,000 cannabis farm in Derbyshire

Officers from the Clay Cross Safer Neighbourhood Team arrested the men on suspicion of drugs offences after uncovering a substantial amount of cannabis worth approximately £60,000 while executing a drugs warrant at a property on High Street today, Wednesday April 7.
In an update this evening, the team said the investigation is still ongoing.

Hide AdThey said: “This genuinely highlights how we rely on community intelligence to put a stop to drug production and use/dealings of drugs.
“North East Derbyshire Safer Neighbourhood teams joined force to execute the warrant and it is true what they say, Teamwork really does make the dream work!
"We feel a big shout out is needed to PC 14457 Allinson for his great work today with using the trusted big red key. After knocking one door through with ease he was welcomed by yet another one, although it was double the work he made double the effort!
“We will not tolerate this in our area and act upon any intelligence we are given.”
