Peter Wilson, 36, of Alder Court, Newland Dale, Newbold, Chesterfield: Guilty of assault by beating and possession of an offensive weapon – namely a belt - in a public place. Adjourned for pre-sentence report.

Darren Thrower, 37, of Cauldon Drive, Holme Hall, Chesterfield: Guilty of failing to comply with the requirements of a community order. Varied to include five rehabilitation activity days. Made to pay £60 court costs.

Stephen Wright, 37, of Rufford Close, Boythorpe, Chesterfield: Guilty of assaulting an emergency worker – namely a paramedic – by beating him. Sent to Derby Crown Court for sentence due to nature and seriousness of offence, character and antecedents.

Ryan Hurst-Tailby, 19, of Western Court, Chesterfield: Guilty of stealing two bottles of pop to the value of £2 belonging to Poundland, a bottle of Coca-Cola, crisps, chocolate and yoghurt belonging to Boots, entered Tesco Extra Lockoford Lane, Chesterfield, while prohibited by a restraining order (two counts), at Santander, Chesterfield, used threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour. Jailed for eight weeks, made to pay £2 compensation and a £128 victim surcharge.

Dwayne Palmer, 34, of Market Street, Clay Cross, Chesterfield: Guilty of failing to provide information identifying the driver of a vehicle alleged to have been guilty of an offence. Fined £120, made to pay £34 victim surcharge and £85 court costs. Driving record endorsed with six penalty points.

Keiran Ellis, 22, of Flamsteed Crescent, Newbold, Chesterfield: Guilty of damaging a window and carpets of an unknown value, assault by beating and committing a further offence while serving a conditional discharge order. Given one-year community order, 31-day accredited programme and 20 rehabilitation activity days, made to pay £100 compensation, £95 victim surcharge and £85 court costs.

Michael Gar Wai Chan, 30, of Helston Close, Hasland, Chesterfield: Guilty of driving at a speed exceeding 70 miles per hour - namely 87 miles per hour. Fined £220, made to pay £34 victim surcharge and £90 court costs. Driving record endorsed with three penalty points.

Martin Fantom, 37, of Lawrence Road, North Wingfield, Chesterfield: Guilty of driving uninsured. Fined £660, made to pay £66 victim surcharge and £90 court costs. Driving record endorsed with six penalty points.

Teresa Kestle, 48, of Cundy Road, Bolsover, Chesterfield: Guilty of driving at a speed exceeding 30 miles per hour - namely 38 miles per hour. Driving record endorsed with three points.

Scarlet Mickle, 29, of Wimborne Crescent, Newbold, Chesterfield: Guilty of driving uninsured and without an MOT test certificate. Case adjourned. ​
