Derbyshire police issued a passenger with a second fine for breaching covid restrictions in four days.

A spokesperson for Derbyshire Police said: “A Mercedes seen lurking around in Chesterfield was then stopped on M1.

"No reasonable excuse to be out visiting from Leicestershire. One of the occupants had already been issued a Covid ticket four days ago when a passenger in another Mercedes.”

The government’s new public health regulations mean people aged 18 or over can be fined £200 for breaching Covid restrictions by mixing with other households.
