Four arrests after man hospitalised following Eastwood assault

A man was taken to hospital with broken ribs and swelling to his face after an assault in Eastwood on Friday evening.

Police were called to Nottingham Road at 7.30am on Sunday 16 August after a man was reported to be injured following a domestic incident.

It is believed that a group of people had attacked the man between 10pm and 1am on the evening of 14 August following an altercation.

Two women, aged 52 and 29 and two men, aged 31 and 30, were arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.

Detective Sergeant Adam Taylor, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “The man was taken to hospital for treatment of injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.

“We are now working to establish the circumstances around the assault.”
