BAKEWELL: Outstanding sale figures at show
The sale was headed up with an excellent private collection of seven tractors on behalf of local vendor, Katie Allen, which included 2 Fordson E27N tractors with Perkins P6 6 cylinder engines.
The massive crowd had a superb sunny day and with no buyers premium charged, purchasers dug deep into their pockets and bid very freely with some superb prices achieved.

Hide AdThe 2 Fordson E27 N tractors with P6 engines both topped £6,000 with the first achieving £6,100 to local purchaser, Mr Cox at Great Longstone, and the second one at £6,050 to Derby enthusiast, Mr Patrick Bosworth.
Purchasers attended from a very wide area including Yorkshire, Shropshire, Nottinghamshire and all surrounding counties, with a 4 cylinder Fordson E27N achieving £4,500 to Staffordshire collector, Geoff Hollinshead, and a
McCormick International Super BMD going into Shropshire at £3,600. Other tractors of note included a 255 1970s Leyland with no power steering and standard gearbox at £1,220, a nice original Fordson Super Major at £1,720 going into Staffordshire, and a very well kept Ford 3000 ex Shropshire County
Council tractor (approximately 1974) at £2,500.
In the machinery lots a Wolseley WD petrol engine at £100, Petter A1 Stationary Engine to £180 with a Bentall turnip drill at £55 and a Ransome Robin TS54 plough at £450.

Hide AdCollectables were well sought after with tiny stone troughs up to £50 and cast iron gates with posts up to £55 per lot.
