Four more coronavirus patients die in Chesterfield as town braces for second lockdown
The most recent data from Public Health England shows that Chesterfield Royal Hospital recorded two deaths on November 1 and a further two deaths on November 2.
All four patients had tested positive for Covid-19, bringing the town’s total hospital death toll to 146.

Hide AdChesterfield Royal Hospital issued an update on its coronavirus sitation yesterday (November 2) with the site revealing there were 47 patients in the hospital with coronavirus and 13 in intensive care.
But the hospital said it was not ‘simply providing a Covid service’, and around 350 other patients are also receiving urgent care on its wards.
Nationally, a further 225 people who tested positivehave died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 33,335.
The patients were aged between 47 and 101 years old. All except 11 had known underlying health conditions.
