New look for Baslow pub after refurb

A country pub is reopening this week following a £350,000 refurbishment.

The Devonshire Arms, in Nether End, Baslow, will reopen on Thursday with a fresh new look thanks to the joint investment by licensees, David and Emma McHattie, and owners Punch Taverns.

The pub was closed while work was carried out to transform the traditional pub, function room, cocktail lounge and 12 bedrooms into an ‘Inn and Kitchen’.

As a result, 15 new jobs have been created.

Inside, dividing walls have been removed to open up the trading areas and provide more comfortable dining and drinking areas.

The pub has been decorated throughout in a contemporary style, and new dining and lounge seating has been added.
