The Restaurant Group, which also owns Chiquito, announced in March that 61 out of 80 branches of the Tex-Mex dining chain would not reopen.
There is also a Chiquito restaurant at the town’s Alma Leisure Park – but its future remains unclear.
The Restaurant Group spokesperson said: “We are unable to confirm the status of Chesterfield’s Chiquito yet.”
