Showcase for young dancers

Talented young dancers from across Nottinghamshire have danced their way to performing at Nottingham Playhouse and towards performing at a national festival.

A total of 12 groups have now been selected by Dance4, an international centre for the development of extraordinary dance - as U.Dance prepares to return to the county.

U.Dance celebrates youth dance and will see dancers perform in five sell-out performances across the East Midlands.

On Sunday, January 25, the selected Nottinghamshire dancers will perform to a home crowd in an event called Episodes at Nottingham Playhouse for the chance to then be selected for regional and the prestigious national youth dance festival.

The dance groups selected to perform include; Spotlight Theatre School, Bilborough College, New College Nottingham, Pride Performance Company, Nottingham Theatre Dance School, RUSH Youth Dance Company, Magnus Revelations, Origin Youth Dance Company, Nottingham CAT Satellite, Tuxford Academy, West Bridgford School Dance Company and MX4.

Episodes is run by Dance4. U.Dance is led by Youth Dance England in partnership with Dance4 in Nottingham.

Episodes starts at 7pm. Tickets are available from the Playhouse on 0115 9419419 and cost £9 (£7 concessions).
