Famous faces for autumn season at Buxton Opera House

Entertainment to suit every taste is promised in the new season at Buxton Opera House.

The theatre’s August to December brochure is on the shelves now and features over 100 dazzling events full of famous faces.

Alan Carr heads up the new season’s comedy with a three-date residency of his show Yap, Yap, Yap in August.

Other stand-ups coming to the venue will include Milton Jones, Sean Hughes and Patrick Kielty.

Drama lovers won’t be disappointed with a lavish production of Jeeves and Wooster on the bill in September.

A Ghost Story Double Bill will get audiences on the edge of their seats ready for Halloween during the month of October.

For young people there’s OctoberFest, returning with a week of spooky workshops and performances during half-term.

Charge up your magic carpet for this year’s pantomime, Aladdin in December, starring Kelsey Beth Crossley and James Holmes.

Guitar fans can get ready to rock with legend Nils Lofgren, and ‘The voice’ Lesley Garrett will also appear, filling the house with her soprano singing.
