Pete Morton

Pete Morton, regarded by his peers as among the best in the British roots music scene, is to appear in the Top Bar at the Queen’s Head in Belper on Saturday, February 4.

In his time, he has been a street busker and a punk-rocker. But now he takes to the stage with the voice and guitar of someone who has earned his place as one of the best singer-songwriters of our time.

His work covers an amazing array of topics from politics to love, tragedy and comedy. His expressive voice serves his songs well and all of them, no matter how dark, have a silver lining of optimism. He mixes traditional music with a socio-political documentation of current events and the human condition.

The venue is based on Chesterfield Road, Belper. Doors open at 8.15pm and he will be on stage about 9pm. Admission is £6 on the door.
