rising local band Dreaded Monkey have recorded their latest EP and are delighted with the results.
Dreaded Monkey, whose members are from the Heanor, Eastwood, Ilkeston and Arnold area, recorded the Mud EP late in 2011 at the Animal Farm studio in London.
The band explained: “It was such a great experience to work in a professional studio and work with some great producers.
“Over the week we spent there, we learnt so much, not just about the music but about ourself and our band. It truly was a significant experience and we are so happy and proud of how the record turned out. We can’t wait to get it out to our fans.”
On this EP, Dreaded Monkey decided to record two older tracks, Influence Me and This Is Not A Song but also wanted to give the fans something new and so recorded a brand new track Mud.
The band added: “The producers at the Animal Farm were a great help in putting the finishing touches to the track and we think that it sounds huge.”
The EP is available at the band’s live shows, through the band Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/DreadedMonkeyMusic or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org
