A total of ten brass bands will perform a concert for the title of Denby Pottery Village Champion 2018, on Sunday, June 23, in the Brass On The Grass event.
All the awards for the categories are hand-painted works of art by the Denby Craftroom.
Everyone is welcome to enjoy the second brass band event and entry along with ample car parking is complimentary but it is hoped that the audience will support the Air Ambulance, which will have a charity stand at the event.
There will be lots to eat and drink at the concert with a barbecue and refreshment stand but all are welcome to bring a picnic and chairs and enjoy the fun. Walter Smith Butchers, who have their popular farm shop at Denby Pottery Village, will be providing the barbecue with their home made burgers and award-winning sausages which will also be available to buy in the Farm Shop.
The participating bands are: Bakewell Silver Band, Dronfield Genquip, Burton Joyce Community Band, BM and W Band, Ilkeston Brass, Leicester Co-op, Shirland Training Band, Oddfellows, Eccles Borough Band and Wigston Band.
Everyone is welcome and there is free admission to Denby Pottery Village. The first band is on from 10am.
