Award joy for Y Not Festival

Y Not has been crowned Best Medium sized festival at the UK Festival Awards.

In celebration of their win and in the Christmas spirit, tickets for Y Not 2016, held July29-31 at Pikehall near Matlock, are now on sale for just £89.50 from

The generosity doesn’t stop there as each ticket will arrive alongside a special Y Not beanie completely free of charge.

Seeing off tough competition from the nation’s many events to win the award, Y Not festival promoter Ralph Broadbent commented: “We’re massively grateful to the thousands of fans who voted, it’s a great honour to get such recognition.

“The progression of winning Grass Roots in 2011 to Best Small in 2012 and now Best Medium in 2015 has been tremendous and I can’t wait to see what happens next year.”

Y Not has packed in rousing sets across the rock, indie and electronic genres in its 10 year history. The Horrors, Frank Turner, Snoop Dogg, Primal Scream and a plethora of others have given their best to the crowds gathered in the peak district site.
