Vacancy for skittles side

THE Ripley and District Skittles League recently held its Annual General Meeting at the Heanor Miners Welfare.

35 clubs were represented, including new team New Inn (Heanor), and two teams who have moved home.

The Blue Bell at South Wingfield have now moved to The Kings Arms at Crich, where they played from last season and The Railway Ripley team have relocated to the Sir Barnes Wallis in the town.

The league will have three divisions with 12 in the Premier and Division One, while Division Two will consist of 11 teams.

However the league is looking to try and add a further team to this division, so if any pub/club is interested, please can they contact Steve Sheldon 07970 601029 as soon as possible.

The committee were re-elected en bloc and there were some minor rule changes proposed and carried.

The league season will start on Tuesday April 10.
