Nail-biter of a weekend

AFTER a tense weekend last week, the Millers face more of the same this time around with a vital promotion game for the firsts and a local derby for the seconds.

At Station Road, the first team return to action with the visit of Ockbrook & Borrowash.

The two teams share second spot in Division 3 after the vistors’ surprise defeat against Alrewas last Saturday.

With the Millers securing a comfortable winning draw at Ockbrook earlier in the season, they will be expecting to gain the upper hand in the return.

The seconds go into their game at Shipley Hall on Saturday on the top of their form after getting the better of league leaders Sandiacre Town last week. Shipley sit comfortably in mid-table and won’t be pushovers as the Millers look to maintain their promotion challenge.

On Sunday, Millhouses Works make a first ever visit to Langley Mill.

This young side were no match for the Millers a couple of weeks ago, so it’s difficult to see them fairing any better at Station Road.

Saturday’s games start at 1.30pm with Sunday’s game starting at 2pm
