World kickboxing title bouts as Alfreton hosts Battleborn event

Two headlining kickboxing world title bouts will be on the bill at an event taking place in Alfreton next month.

Silverfox & Toplad Promotions present Battleborn 2 on

Saturday, March 8, at The Genesis Centre, King Street, Alfreton, and also features a European title fight.

Taking part will be Scott ‘Fatb oy’ Taylor from the Panthers gym in Ambergate.

He will be up against Northern Ireland’s Ciaran Boyle in what is scheduled to be 12 x 2 minute rounds for the W.K.U Professional Welterweight World Title.

Meanwhile, Lee ‘Toplad’ Wragg from Wragsters Kickboxing Academy in Ripley will face Northern Ireland’s Shane Johnson in a scheduled 5 x 2 minute rounds for the W.K.U Pro-AM Super Cruiser-weight World Title.

As well as these two eagerly-awaited world title bouts, Swanwick’s Christian ‘Whizz’ Harrison, also from the Panthers Gym, will face the Czech Republic’s Martin Kabhael over 5 x 2 minute rounds for the W.K.U Pro-Am Super-middle weight European Title.

In addition to these three mouthwatering bouts, there will be two other title bouts.

These are a junior British title and an amateur Midlands area title fight, plus ten supporting bouts in amateur kickboxing and white collar boxing.

These will feature local fighters and clubs in action at the Genesis Centre.

Doors open at the venue at 5pm and the first fight will be at 6pm.

Tickets are priced at £25 for adults and £15 for under 14s.
