The warmer weather this week has certainly seen some great fishing conditions for anglers at Carsington Fishery.
Many anglers have caught 20-plus fish and lots have been caught from close to the surface on buzzers.
The rod average for the week was 8.74 with 472 fish caught by 54 anglers.
The heaviest rainbow this week was 6lbs 8oz caught in Brown Ale bay by John Davison.
The heaviest brown this week was 2lbs 12oz caught near Sitch Plantation by Phil Harding on a blob.
The most successful areas have been at the Sitch Plantation, Fishtail Creek, Brown Ale bay and the Osprey Towers.
The most successful patterns are gold head montana, cats whisker, orange fritz, orange and red blobs, black buzzer and black hoppers.
Fish are being caught on a mixture of methods however many fish have been caught on buzzers with floating lines, this is usual for this time of year.
The warmer weather and natural fly life seem to be bringing the fish to the surface.
