For the first time in 18 years, the Derby Ramathon was awash with the green and gold running vests of Ripley Running Club.
Taking part at Elvaston Castle and the surrounding areas, the 13.1 mile course had 2,500 participants and a mini marathon which saw youngsters, some in prams, run 1.6 miles.
A small team of mini future Ripley RC potentials took part in this run.
The beautiful weather was very kind for supporters but the sweltering was tough on the runners. Dean Taylor was first back for Ripley (1.22.39). Next came Andy Parkin (1.26.59), Ian Duffin (1.29.16), Ryan Ball (1.40.42), Rich Phillis (1.43.06), Simon English (1.43.06), Cathy Cresswell (1.48.18), Matt Nicholls (1.49.14), Karl Tietz (1.54.09), Tom Briggs (1.54.35) with guide Tim Jaques (1.54.35), Martin Penny (2.01.01), Paula Brudenell (2.02.23), David Barrett (2.05.55), Vicky Leach (2.09.44), Antoinette Franco (2.14.09), Amy Bradley (2.14.08), Dawn Farnsworth (2.50.21) and James Franco (2.50.21).
Ripley RC members also recently took part in the popular Edinburgh Marathon. Amy Bradley ran in 3.40.21 and Andy Riley ran in 3.51.09.
Representing Ripley at the Sinfin 10k were Rich Phillis (42.00) Ryan Ball (43.55) Martin Smith (46.10) Jerry Bateman (47.37) Loraine Griffiths (54.36), and visually impaired runner Tom Briggs (60.10) with Steve Summers as his guide
