Pudding run set to be the biggest yet

THIS year’s annual Heanor Running Club-organised Matthew Walker Pudding Run has sold out and will be the biggest race staged yet.

The 6.25-mile long race, in it’s 25th year, has attracted a massive total of just under 900 runners from all over the country.

The event starts out from Shipley Country Park at 10.30am on Sunday, November 20 and the headquarters is at the Green Room at the Visitor Centre.

Official spectator points are Heanor Gate Industrial Estate, the junction with Delves Road, Bell Lane and Osbourne’s Pond, Shipley Country Park.

Last year’s race was won by Notts Athletic Club member Tim Hartley in a time of 32 minutes and 13 seconds.

Once again, each runner completing the course will receive a Matthew Walker Christmas pudding for their efforts.

Competitors should note that Shipley Country Park car parking is now pay and display.
