A few surprises and a total of only seven 180s added up to an interesting week of action in the Ripley Elite Darts Singles League (REDSL).
The player-of-the-week contenders from the Premier Division included Steve Pashley (again), who won both his games, 4-1 and 3-2, hit a 180 and achieved the week’s top average in the top flight of 26.55. Pashley defeated Dave Fritchley and Mick Chapman, and continues to fly up the table.
Colin Rich is also enjoying a fantastic season after only just avoiding relegation last term. A 3-2 success over Andy Gillott, which featured winning legs of 14, 15 and 17 darts, means he has triumphed in 11 of his 15 games. Rich also has the highest number of 180s (ten), which shows how different two campaigns can be with a bit of confidence behind you.
Contenders for the First Division title include Neil Beresford, who wrecked most prediction sheets with two superb wins, and Lee Stanley, who won 5-0 with the week’s highest average of 82.56.
