It’s time to dig out that running kit as Sport Relief is coming soon.
On Sunday, March 23, the Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile will be setting off from Shipley Country Park at 10.30am with hundreds getting on their marks, set and go for Sport Relief.
Super sprinters and willing walkers will all feel at home with a choice of one, three or six miles.
You can enter now at sportrelief.com, get sponsored and help transform the lives of people living here in the UK and in some of the world’s poorest countries, while being part of an incredible nationwide event.
Amber Valley Village Games Officer, Beth Turner said: “This is the second time the Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile has come to Shipley so let’s don the headband, get training and show the rest of the country what we can do.
“There will be other activities on the day too so don’t forget to rope in your mates, family, boyfriend, girlfriend and colleagues!”
The success of the event relies heavily upon the goodwill of others and anyone who can offer any help on the day, is encouraged to get in touch. Contact Beth Turner on 07584 904 519.
