Residents in South Normanton and Pinxton are being invited to take up table tennis - one of the fastest growing sports in the UK - and join the brand new table tennis club based at Frederick Gent School.
The South Normanton Table Tennis Club launched in April and saw rising table tennis stars Isobel Ashley, Jake Meikle and Tim Denby, showcase their skills.
The club meets every Wednesday during term time in the dance studio at Frederick Gent School. Qualified, experienced ETTA coaches lead sessions for 9-13 years olds from 4pm-5.15pm, with sessions for males and females 14-plus taking place from 5.15pm-6.30pm.
New participants are able to attend their first session for free, but sessions are £3 per week after that.
Alternatively, participants can pay for ten sessions at a cost of £25. Individuals do not need to have any playing experience and places do not need to be pre-booked – just turn up and play. Equipment can be borrowed but participants are encouraged to bring their own paddles.
So if you fancy a game, want to learn a new sport and skill and have some fun, not come along to the club with your family and friends.
