RIPLEY Running Club attended the Ashby 20 road race last Sunday.
The Ashby 20 course is a so-called “frying pan” route consisting of a straight road start which linked to a large loop before returning back along the straight “handle” again to the finish.
The start for the twelve Ripley runners was a downhill amble before turning right through the picturesque village of Packington and began the first circuit of this two-lap course the loop which passed through the lovely villages of Swepstone and Normanton Le Heath was a undulating course but our Ripley runners were not to be deterred!
