With just one weekend of the Flat season to go, courtesy of a terrific card at Doncaster, the mindsets of most punters are now switched on to the Jumps game. And it's a time of year when many of us draw up horses to follow through the winter and on to the big festivals at Cheltenham, Aintree and Punchestown next spring.

But I’ve decided to come up with a horses-to-follow list with a difference. Of 2yos to have caught the eye, primarily at the backend of the Flat campaign, and to be remembered once those National Hunt festivals are over.
