With the new Central Midlands season fast approaching, Swanwick Pentrich Road are looking to make as much progress as possible during the forthcoming campaign.
Subtle changes to the pitch have been made in the close season and first team manager Kev Grundy is pleased that he has held on to the core of his playing squad, whilst making some additions.
The season kicks off this Saturday against Bilborough Pelican (3pm) and a club spokesman said:
“It would be great to see a bumper ground down at Highfield Road.
“With Swanwick’s 50th birthday celebrations being a huge success, it would be nice to build on the fantastic support that the local community showed to the much loved Swans.”
Entrance fees are to remain at £2 for adults, £1 for under 16s, and toddlers free, with all proceeds going to help improve the facilities at Highfield Road.
The spokesman added: “Programmes and refreshments are also on sale, so why not try visiting us throughout the season?”
n South Normanton Athletic start their East Midlands Counties League Premier Division on Saturday, at home to Anstey Nomads, with the game kicking off at 3pm.
