Ripley Rangers U12’s recorded a resounding 8-2 victory over MDC FC.
They started at a rapid pace and had already squandered three good opportunities, before Dalton Smith gave them the lead with a cross shot from the left.
It was 2-0 when Todd Wells repeated Smith’s effort from the right.
Man-of-the-match Smith had completed his hat-trick within 15 minutes, firstly a long range effort then another cross-shot from the left.
It was then the turn of Wells to miss from close in, blazing over from less than a yard with the goal gapping.
A hectic few minutes saw Charlie Willows save well before MDC pulled a goal back when a shot was saved, but fell back to the MDC striker.
Wells got his second before half-time with a well taken header from a Joe Frogson corner.
The second half started as the first with Ripley in the ascendancy and Croshaw having another shot saved.
Smith got his fourth, and best goal, early in the half, but Wells wasn’t to be outdone as he completed his hat trick following good work by Harvey Beresford. It was 7-2 when Ripley lost possession in the middle of the park and MDC ran through to finish well.
Todd Wells also saved his best till last slotting his fourth of the game in off the post after a superb passing move by Ripley.
