In a reversal of their earlier meeting, Ripley Rangers U11s beat Alfreton Town 3-1.

During a tight, scoreless first half, Joe Timmons tipped over before Cade Croshaw saw his effort well saved by the Alfreton keeper.

The game sprang to life in the second half when Todd Wells’ scored from a Ripley corner.

Tommy Austin had to dive full length to keep out a powerful free-kick before Croshaw set up Wells for a 2-0 lead.

Man of the Match Crowshaw then made it 3-0 following good work by Charlie Willows.

Alfreton pulled a goal back through a penalty, but Ripley held firm with strong performances from Bekir Ozdemir and Harvey Keeley.
