Jay Cooper signs as two leave Heanor Town

Heanor Town have signed striker Jay Cooper from Selston FC.

Cooper was with Heanor for the start of the 2013/14 campaign but returned to Selston only a few weeks into the season.

He is currently top scorer for the Notts Senior League side with 18 goals in 20 appearances.

Having played for Glen Clarence at former club Pinxton FC the manager knows what Cooper is capable of and was eager to snap him up.

But Kieran Wells has officially left Heanor Town, ending a three month association with the club, to join Long Eaton United.

His eight goals helped Heanor out, including one outstanding strike at Deeping Rangers FC in the FA Vase.

Courey Grantham has also left the club to sign for Midland League side Basford United FC.

Grantham scored 21 goals during two separate spells at the club.
