SWANWICK Pentrich Road’s inconsistent Premier Division season continued last weekend when they went down 2-1 at third-placed Melbourne Dynamo.
Matt Jones and Dave Brough got the Melbourne goals, Andy Waghorn on target for Swans.
Swanwick, played well and felt they deserved a draw but it was not to be as Melbourne netted a late winner.
Swans have now won three and lost five of their last eight league outings.
Derby Rolls-Royce Leisure won 4-3 away at Mickleover RBL. Ben Stockley (2) and Rob Selby scored the Mickleover goals.
Although Sandiacre Town played twice in the week they still failed to move from off of the bottom of the Premier Division and two defeats left them still one point adrift of Ashover.
Having lost 3-1 at home to Wirksworth Town in the week, Sandiacre travelled to Cromford where they lost 4-1. Kyle Johnson (2), Danny Wildgoose and Matt Green scoring for Cromford.
Ashover went close to picking up a point but eventually lost 1-0 at Derby Royals, Daz Oliver scored the only goal of the game.
Despite their win, Cromford still failed to make up ground on league leaders Allenton United who won 4-0 away at Willington. Nathan Sandar (2), Scott Birch and Declan Jennings all scoring for Allenton.
Ripley Town were unable to fulfil their away game at Derbyshire Amateurs with a combination of unavailability leaving manager Paul Lavender unable to raise a side.
Allestree, who looked as if they were running away with the Division One crown, came to earth with a crash as they lost 4-2 to Punjab United. Surhjit Heer, Courtney Webster (2) and Jordan Patton scoring the Punjab goals
However, while Punjab moved into second place as a result of the win Rowsley 86 Reserves lost ground beaten 2-1 by Holbrook St.Michaels Reserves. Dean Tomlinson and Josh Johnson netted the Holbrook goals.
Mickleover RBL Reserves remain at the foot of the table after losing 2-1 at Findern while Bargate Rovers pulled off something of a surprise b winning 2-1 at Little Eaton.Paul Quincey scoring the Little Eaton goal.
Aaron Brady and Mark Brewster both scored for Swanwick Pentrich Road Reserves as they drew 2-2 with Tibshelf while Dene Cropper (3) and Tom Norris scored the Woolley Moor goals as they beat Derby Singh Brothers 4-2.
Ambergate’s hopes of forcing themselves into the Division Two promotion battle all but perished as they lost 3-1 to another of the title hopefuls in Mackworth St. Francis.Wayne Randall scoring for Ambergate.
Melbourne Dynamo Reserves remain in promotion contention though after beating Little Eaton Reserves 3-0 with two goals from Dominic Santiera and one from Jack Tivey.
Luke Beals scored the Bargate Rovers Reserves goals as they lost 2-1 to Punjab United Reserves while the match between Wirksworth Town Reserves and Newton ended in a goal-less draw.
Tom Evans was the scorer of the Hilton Harriers goal as they drew 1-1 with Chellaston Reserves while Ben Marsh, Steve Murphy and Shaun Smith all scored for Wirksworth Ivanhoe as they beat Derby Royals Reserves 3-1.
