Alfreton Town enter this season’s FA Cup competition at the fourth qualifying round on Saturday with Conference Premier rivals Lincoln City providing tough opposition at the Impact Arena on Saturday.
Reds manager Nicky Law will require late fitness checks on striker Paul Clayton and midfield man Nathan Hicks who has returned to training after a lengthy lay-off with a shoulder injury.
Chris Smith is still a doubt through lack of match fitness but latest loan signing, goalkeeper James Severn from Scunthorpe United, is added to the squad and could be handed a cup debut.
Former Imp Dan Gray will miss the game against his former club through injury.
City will have to make at least one change as they have had to recall goalkeeper Paul Farman from a loan spell at Boston United for the tie after managerless Birmingham City withdrew permission for on-loan keeper Nick Townsend to play in the FA Cup. Townsend is on a season-long loan from the Blues.
The Imps are unbeaten in three games going into the tie, their latest outing being last Saturday when they drew 1-1 with Wrexham at Sincil Bank.
As well as a place in Monday’s draw for the first round proper of the competition, there is valuable prize money of £12,500 available to the winners of the tie.
This game will have segregation in place and Lincoln City fans are kindly requested to enter the Impact Arena stadium via the away turnstiles at the Alma Street end of the ground only.
Catering and toilet facilities as well as match day programmes are available in the away section of the ground.
Admission for the cup tie has been reduced to £15 for adults, £10 for concessions (over-65s) and £5 for under-16s.
There are no Early Bird or Group Saver Tickets available, and under FA rules and regulations, this fixture is an all pay game which means home fans cannot use season tickets for this match.
Should a replay be required, this will be held at City’s Sincil Bank ground next Tuesday (October 28th) with a 7.45pm kick-off.
ATFC Supporters’ Association transport would depart at 5.30pm and seats could be booked by contacting Mark Thorpe on 07857 558401.
