Comfortable win for Ambergate FC

MRA Division Two

Ambergate FC 3

Little Eaton Reserves 0

AMBERGATE won last Saturday’s game with unexpected ease.

From the start ‘gate looked brighter and had numerous early chances before taking the lead through a set-piece.

Craig Tipton fired the hosts in front from a 30 yard free kick, something which is becoming a trademark from him.

After that though Ambergate failed to capitalise on more chances and went into the break with just the single goal advantage.

The second half saw Little Eaton offer little threat to a solid ‘gate defence.

Shaun Welch then got the important second goal to make the game safe as he beautifully lobbed the keeper.

Stevenson and Magill went close to a third for the home side before Shaun Bestwick wrapped up the points late on with the third goal as he turned Tipton’s long throw in to seal a good three points and performance.

This Saturdy brings a trip to face Derby Royals Reserves. Kick-off is 3pm.
