Codnor Boys u15s put last week’s disappointing result firmly behind them, with an emphatic 13-0 win over Spondon Rovers.
Codnor started the game at a frantic pace, and gained the lead in the fourth minute, when Soar played in James for a deadly finish.
On 11 minutes, it was 2-0 when Soar was again the instigator, playing in Webster to finish with aplomb. On 15mins it was Cashmore’s turn to get on the scoresheet, with a thumping header from a Waldron free-kick, and it was soon 5-0 when James completed his hat-trick with a brace.
Cashmore made it 6-0 with a thunderous drive from 25 yards out, before James got his 20th of the season on for a seven goal advantage at the break.
After the break it was more of the same, with goals from Atkins, James, Soar (two), Wood and Webster as Codnor reached 100 goals for the season in all competitions.
