ALFRETON LADIES missed chances Alfreton Ladies FC travelled to bottom of the league Dronfield on Sunday. 
The game started with Alfreton on the front foot, pinning Dronfield in their half of the pitch for long periods and creating some good chances. 
As the game went on, Dronfield grew in confidence, playing long balls through for the forwards to chase. in the 36th minute, with one such ball Dronfield got behind the Alfreton defence and their striker cut in from the left to drill the ball into the bottom corner to go 1-0 up. 
The game became a little scrappy up to half time with Dronfield going in 1-0 up at the break. At the start of the second half, Alfreton regrouped in midfield and started to push Dronfield back, putting pressure on the ball and again creating

chances but the Dronfield defence held firm.

With both teams trying to gain the upper hand, the game became a bit of a stalemate.

Alfreton could not get the equaliser they deserved from their efforts so Dronfield picked up three valuable points.

It was a game of missed chances for Alfreton, al though all the players gave 100 per cent.
