HOLBROOK returned to action after two blank weekends with a win built on two first-half goals.

In tricky conditions Sports got a flying start with a fifth minute goal when a Robbie Harrison corner was put into his own net by a Blackwell defender.

Holbrook deservedly scored a second goal on 25 minutes, Danny Cox seeing his miscued right-footed shot find the corner of the net.

It was nearly three but Darren Ruston’s shot hit the bar.

The hosts reduced the arrears just into the second half, the Blackwell skipper being given time to smash an unstoppable shot passed Simon Lillie who then ensured the points for his side with an excellent save mid-way through the half.
